Many Lyme symptoms mimic auto-immune diseases such as Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. In fact, there is a theory that once the actual microbes are gone, the immune system behaves as if the organism is still there. Homeopathy is a system of medicine which involves treating the individual with highly diluted substances, with the aim of triggering the body’s natural system of healing. A homeopath will match the most appropriate medicine to each patient, based on the patient’s specific symptoms. Because I believe homeopathy is a strong triggering system for resetting the body’s many chemi- cal and biological pathways, I feel it could be an effective treatment for chronic Lyme.
