New for 2013, the OQHA Queen Contest was held at the banquet. This change allows our queens more time to prepare for the Congress and attend more OQHA events. It was great to see two talented young ladies compete for the crown. OQHA would like to thank Paige Hoskins and Kerri-Lyn Webb for doing a fantas- tic job! Kerri-Lynn was crowned the 2013 OQHA Queen and OQHA would like to congrat- ulate her and wish her much success this year. Throughout the evening, the silent auction tables were a bustle of excitement as everyone wanted to be the successful bidder on a large selection of items. OQHA would like to thank everyone who kindly donated items and to every- one for purchasing.
At about 9:00pm, the 2013 OQHA Presi- dent, thanked everyone for joining in the evening and handed the mike over to “JJ the DJ” who soon had the dance floor hopping. Many danced and visited until closing!
OQHA would like to thank the Holiday Inn in Guelph for providing us a great facility for our event. The food was amazing, and our weekend was enjoyed by many.
