ecoRUNWAY came back to BHS this fall with a twist. Teams were asked to produce two outfits again, but were given parameters. Avant Garde and Ready to Wear were the two creations that had to been seen on the runway. Nine teams participated this year and all teams impressed the guest judges.


Iannah Caines ’20 won the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre ‘Don’t Start-Be Lung Smart’ smoking prevention poster competition and Gabriella Botelho ’20 received an honourable mention.


On Friday October 5, BHS hosted its first Oktoberfest beer and Bavarian food tasting with staff, alumni, parents and interested members of the community in attendance.


Gymnasts, Morgan Beckles ’13, Sydney Mason ’16, Clara James ’17, Danielle Wall ’17 and Sadia Wilson ’18, all represented Bermuda at the Baltimore Invitational.


The Secondary students broke into groups choosing a country to research and present on for Round Square Day, sharing the cultures of different people from around the world.


BHS celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Jessie Vesey Sports Centre inviting back many of the donors who contributed to its creation. (See story on page 7)


In November, Sophie Booth-Kempe ‘15 and Caroline Skinner ‘15 were recognised as finalists in the 15th annual Tom Pettit Thanksgiving Essay Competion.


Team Bermuda Gymnastics won the Bermuda Invitational Tournament in January. BHS Students who earned medals includes Sydney Mason ’16, Clara James ’17, Sadia Wilson ’18, Danielle Wall ’18, Ava Marshall ’18, Emily Gentile ’21 and Linnea Kuruvilla ’21. BHS is proud of these students, representing both the school and their country.
