Alumni Update

Janet (Boeth) Jones ’50 writes that she is living in The Sequoias, a retirement high-rise in San Francisco, in a studio apartment with a view of the Marin Hills where she feels pampered, with little shopping, cooking, or cleaning, and health care just minutes away. “I enjoy reading detective stories, going on van trips to parks, museums and shops. I continue with lay ministry in the Episcopal Church, spiritual direction, and committee work. She hopes to visit friends in Toronto in June and reports that there are many things to keep her engaged in life at 78.

Mary (Jolley) Sumpter ‘53 recently sent in some photos from the Class of ’52 and ’53. The classmates attended a lunch organized by Joan (Cooper) Bradford ’53 at the RHADC in October 2012. They took a lot of photos, but trying to find one where everyone had their eyes open and was smiling was really difficult! In the picture seated at the table they are: (left to right) Megan (James) Cooper, Mary (Jolley) [Smith] Sumpter, Alaine (Joell) Saunders, Joan (Cooper) Bradford, Diane (Towle) Kirwin, Sally (Smith) Madden, Carla (Wirt) Fountain and Heather (Wright) Rance.
