ne of the evening’s highlights was “Te 25 Years of Excellence” slideshow. Tis retrospective of


the Capital CoTY Awards program illumi- nated the early years of the young charter NARI chapter when only 5 Remodeling categories were supported and 5 awards were conferred. Te Capital CoTY program now boasts the largest participation of any NARI Chapter in the country and the win- ning firms face intense competition from the Metro area’s finest remodelers.


Te CoTY Awards competition is only open to member remodelers and team members. Tis year, 41 firms entered 152 projects in 32 categories. Nine judges reviewed these bind- ers full of innovative projects over three days to grant 82 awards in 30 categories.


A boisterous crowd cheered the winning firms as the Finalist, Merit and, ultimately, the Grand Awards were announced by category. For the second straight year, Home & Design Magazine presented its Award of Excellence to the company that completed the most spec- tacular project. Tis year’s recipient was An- thony Wilder Design Build, Inc., for a whole house transformation.


Many firms invited partner subs and sup- pliers to share in the glory of winning. A few contractors brought homeowner guests to help celebrate their achievement. Much praise goes out to the many volunteers, Awards Commitee members and Chapter Executive Director Joe Normandy, for help- ing to make the evening a great success.
