another zone for the basement. All zones are inde- pendently controlled. Before the remodeling project, the home did not have central air conditioning (AC), but relied on several window units to cool individual rooms in summer. Te new central AC system uses a SEER 15 high-efficiency unit that is hidden in an insulated eave on the second floor. Cool air is distrib- uted throughout the house through a high-pressure, small duct system, greatly improving comfort in hot weather. All joints, transitions and take-of valves for the new AC system were sealed with mastic, in ac- cordance with the new energy conservation code, and all duct work is within the thermal envelope of the home.

All in all, Doman Custom Carpentry, LLC, and its team of dedicated sub-contractors, delivered a high- quality, energy-efficientd durable, and maintenance- free home, within budget and on schedule. Te home- owners look forward to many years of enjoying their new addition and the home’s upgraded features.
