INDUSTRY NEWS High efficiency pumps a must

It wasn't that long ago that Wilo exhibited its high-efficiency pump for heating and cooling circuits at the ISH exhibition in 2001. Barely twelve years later, the European Ecodesign (ErP) Directive is ensuring that this electronically controlled design with highly efficient EC motors becomes compulsory across the EU. As of 1 January 2013, high efficiency small circulating pumps became an essential tool in the attempt to reduce the huge waste of energy that uncontrolled pumps represents across Europe. The latest generation of Wilo high-efficiency pumps – including the Wilo Yonos-PICO - is already "ErP-ready" and already meets all future limit values of the new ordinance. In addition, this will put a massive energy-saving potential - of up to 90 per cent compared with old inefficient pumps - in sharper focus. For more information visit www.wilo.co.uk
