Great Tire Service: While staying in Moab, UT exploring Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, we
discovered a flat tire on our trailer. When we asked the campground host for the name of a good tire shop, she recommended Chip’s Grand Tires, 312 N Main Street, Moab, UT 84532. Teir phone number is 435-259-7909. Although it was a very busy Saturday morning when we took the tire in to be fixed
(apparently it usually is busy), the flat was fixed quickly, efficiently and inexpensively. We found Chip to be friendly and accommodating and would recommend the shop to anyone in the area needing new tires or tire service.

Provincial Campgrounds: We enjoy the fall weather and headed out with our RV around October 1st. We
consulted a campground guide and found that a lot of the provincial parks don’t state their closing dates. In any event, having lived in this area for 38 years, we knew that Herald’s Park would be open for a few more days so we headed out. We camped there and then continued on to Kamloops. Paul Lake was closed as was
Lac Le Jeune (closing not stated in the book) so we continued on to Merritt and over to Monck Park. We’ve been there many times and since the parks’ guide said it would be open with only one loop, it seemed like a safe bet. We came to the turnoff only to find a “Closed” sign. Now we had travelled all that way and had no alternative but to go back to Kamloops and return to Herald’s Park. Our point is that it would be nice to have the dates printed in the guide. Plus we believe
these parks are closing far too early. We are self contained so dry camping is just fine. We sent an email to the Parks Department, but have received no reply yet. Marj & Tom Talbot

Tom’s RV: Last September I had a blowout on my 2009 5th
wheel Montana, which caused damage
to my rear slide-out and fender skirt. Aſter my Insurance Adjuster reviewed the damage, he asked me where I wanted my
unit repaired. I told him I was taking it to Tom’s RV in Langford, BC. Tom’s gave the Insurance Company their estimate to fix it and when that was approved
(less than a week), Tom’s ordered the parts and even fabricated some from sheet metal. Te phone rang at my house in less than two weeks and Tom’s told me my fiſth wheel
was ready to be picked up. I was really surprised at the short period of time it took! I went to Tom’s and found everything was done and the unit actually looked better than when it was new. Tey even matched up the torn decals on the slide-out that needed to be replaced. Anyone needing repairs, etc., might want to check out Tom’s RV because they do excellent work and are very friendly too. Te shop was recently sold and the new owners are remodeling the office and store. My thanks go out to Jamie, Dan, John and all the staff at Tom’s. Great job guys! Al Badiuk

Happy Customer: I was in Ferndale Washington and was having transmission problems. I contacted
Everson Transmission in Everson, which is about five minutes drive south of Sumas. Randy, the owner, had my problem fixed and me on the road again in no time. Te price was excellent and this place was high tech yet still held with old time values. Tey also do brakes, clutches, diff. and transfer cases. If you are in the area and have a problem, give them a call. It will be worth it.

Re Letter to Editor re Insurance: Tis refers to the letter called RV
Insurance Outside of BC published on page 8 in the last issue of Te RV Times. Adele stated: “We were
just made
aware that if you live in your RV more than 120 days outside of B, your insurance probably does not cover you”. Tis statement caught my attention. My
wife and I snowbird every year to Mesa, AZ for about 120 to 150 days and I had never heard of any such restriction. I live in Surrey, BC so I called my local insurance agent and posed the above question. Te response was: “Te restriction only applies if you leave your motorhome south of the border on a permanent basis.” I thought I would pass on this updated information to all your readers, Sheila. Recipe Pan: Hi Sheila - love your magazine. I have a question about Bev’s recipe for
Lolly Squares on page 32 in the Nov/Dec 2012 edition. Bev says to press the mixed ingredients
into a pan but does not mention the size of pan to use. Any idea? I need to know so I can pack the correct size pan.

Faye, I didn’t mention the size pan because I
just use whatever is on hand, making the slice thicker or thinner. Let’s see. I guess either a 9x9 or 10x13
will work. Good luck!! Bev Moore
