OWNERS ASSOC. OF
RVOABC PRESIDENT’S CORNER
BY BILL WRIGHT Hello 2013 and an RVOABC welcome to our new Vice
President/Rally Master Rick Hughes. Rick can’t wait to get set up and settled for the next 25 years
of planning many fantastic Rallies. I have, of course, not informed him as yet. Aſter all, we
don’t want to scare him off. Don’t worry Rick, the Executive is here to help you, that is if you are lucky enough to find any of us. His wife, Cathy, will be making sure he does a great job and does not lead us astray. All kidding aside, the Rallies are a joint effort of the
Executive and they even involve our Web Master, Jerry Walter, who put the Squamish Potluck Rally together. Te shorter days and longer nights are once again upon
us, as well as cooler temperatures. And depending on your landscaping situation this time of year brings a downfall of leaves of tremendous size and numbers that just keep coming! Of course by the time you get this edition of the magazine, leaves will be a thing of the past until next fall, when you get to do it all over again. I guess we should not speak too loudly. I was humbled aſter speaking with my sister and brother-in-law who just happen to be one of our northern members. In Dawson Creek, “Mile O” for those who have taken the RV to Alaska, the temperature was a balmy minus 18 degrees before Christmas, so we BC Coasters have little to complain about!
RV SHOWS Te first RV Show of the season, January 31 – February 3, is
the EarlyBird RV Show & Sale held in Abbotsford at the Tradex Centre by the Abbotsford Airport. All who can lend a hand at our booth, need to give Jan Clark a call at 604-466-5432. Te Club will pay for your parking and you get in free so you visit the Show aſter or before your three or four hour shiſt. Te Chilliwack Humdinger RV Show and Sale will not be
happening this year, but Penticton will be having their second Show, called the BC Interior RV Show and is scheduled for April 25-28th
, 2013. Te RVOABC did not participate in this Interior Show
last year. BUT if any of our members in the area would be interested in participating this year, let us know what you think. You can post your comments on our website, that is
www.rvoabc.com if you so wish.
