Service Pupil Premium Extended
he pupil premium now includes; children of
military personnel who have died in service, and those whose parents have left the service. The amount paid to schools for each eligible child will increase to £300 in 2013. Serving parents need to let schools know by 17 Jan 13.

Design of new Armed Forces Pension Scheme is agreed
he Defence Secretary has announced the final agreement with the Government on the design of the new Armed Forces Pension scheme. It is to be introduced in Apr 15, for all serving personnel.
MoD test new Laser Eye Protection

ew laser eye protection for pilots is being tested by the MoD. The protection can filter
out wavelengths of light used in laser weapons and pens which are becoming increasingly available from the internet.

MoD Launch New Defence Discount Service

the Armed Forces. It is open to Serving and Reserve personnel and their spouses/partners.
Government gives extra funds to injured personnel, Service children and Reserves
he Government is showing commitment to Armed Forces
personnel by giving extra financial support. Tere is a £5 million boost for Headley Court; Te Pupil Premium is increased and in a new measure civil servants from Government Departments who volunteer as Reservists will be guaranteed a 10 days Special Paid Leave.
