It was a great night of Blues when four bands played to win the Ottawa Blues Society’s Road to Memphis final at Greenfield’s Pub in Barrhaven. The band Big Chill, shown here, was runner up. Firebelly won first place.

6. The Great Race made a grand entrance at the Hazeldean Mall. More than 100 of these eye-stopping cars blasted into the parking lot to a huge crowd of fans.

Jeff Larocque, area coordinator for the Heart and Stroke Big Bike event, was shouting out last-minute instructions to the Frisby Tire team at Rideau Carleton. Don Frisby and his team not only raised the most money − they ended up with the best time.


8. There was a huge turnout for Freedom Harley-Davidson’s “Test Your Metal” day. Biking enthusiasts got a chance to drive the new 2013 models.

The Tifosi Motorsports Club, which has raised and donated almost $90,000 to charity over the years, realized another “special wish” at its Annual Tifosi Summer Roll-out of Toys event for the Children’s Wish Foundation. 11. Fatboys on the Byward Market hosted a fundraising event for the Motorcycle Ride for Dad in September. This is Gary Janz, Chair of the Motorcycle Ride for Dad.


12. Real Blues, great ribs and fabulous weather drew 16,000 to the 2nd Annual Class Axe Guitar Calabogie Bluesfest. Bounder had the pleasure of sponsoring this first-class event and spent the entire weekend there.


13. It was a wet, soggy day, but the Motorcycle Ride for Dad still had a great turnout. When it comes to raising money for prostate cancer research, motorcycle riders don’t let a bit of rain dampen their enthusiasm.
