Paddling Festival to Partner with CROW

T

he seventh annual Calu- sa Blueway Paddling Festival will partner with the Sanibel Island-based Clinic for the Rehabilita- tion of Wildlife (CROW) from November 1 to 4 at locations throughout Lee County. The festival, which attracts paddling enthusiasts from Florida and across the nation, features semi- nars, on-water instruction, demos, races, a film festival and social events.

The event highlights the marked, 190-mile saltwater Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail, which navigates the coast and inland rivers along the beaches of Fort Myers and Sani- bel. As their signature nonprofit fundraiser, CROW will also host a special event for festival attendees, VIPs and sponsors on November 3 and will have an informational and interac- tive display at festival headquarters on Sanibel Causeway Island A. “We are delighted to join forces with this paddling festival and help improve awareness about our local wild- life and their natural habitat,” says Ava Hinojosa, managing director of CROW.

CROW location: 3883 Sanibel Captiva Rd. For more in- formation, visit CalusaBluewayPaddlingFestival.com and CrowClinic.org.
