Maaß wins 1,500 euro Huyck.Wangner Talent Award

hristoph Maaß is the winner of the 13th Talent Award worth €1,500 presented by
Huyck.Wangner, one of the worldwide leading suppliers of paper machine clothing, and Munich University of Applied Sciences’ faculty of Process Engineering – Paper and Packaging. The award is for the best
student enrolled in the Master of
Engineering in Paper Technology course led by Prof. Dr. Stephan Kleemann. Maaß, from Sinsheim,
had already completed his apprenticeship as a paper technologist at the Palm paper mill in Wörth after receiving his IB qualification in 2009. He completed his job training in 2011 which also gained him an award from the German Chamber of Commerce. Maaß’s father is
Ian Jones joins Howard Tenens board
Ian Jones has joined the board of Howard Tenens, one of the largest privately owned third party logistics companies in the UK, as a non-executive director. He recently retired as managing
director of Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles and has held many positions at Volvo, Scania and DAF Trucks.
Under Jones’ leadership,

Maaß was the best student in the basic study period, an accomplishment that also cleared the way for this year’s Huyck.Wangner Talent Award. He will complete his upcoming practical semester in Germany and is planning on pursuing his Master of Engineering in Paper Technology once he has obtained his Bachelor’s degree.

Papermarking system specialist Woollard & Henry celebrated a decade of employee ownership with a special event at its Stoneywood facility near Aberdeen in Scotland. The event, hosted in
