ROCK ‘N’ ROLL INTERIOR

UNIVERSAL DOWNLIGHT

Aurora has developed the first truly universal fire rated downlight with complete compatibility for retrofitting all lamp types. It can be directly covered with insulation, has been tested in 30, 60 and 90 minute fire-rated ceilings and features LED optimisation for longer lamp life. The SOLA Universal comes with fitted GU10 and optional MR16 lampholders to accommodate 12V/240V halogen, CFL or LED lamps. To deliver longer lamp life, the patented insulation cover (IC) has enlarged ventilation slots designed for maximum heat dissipation and optimum ventilation. This IC allows the downlight to be directly covered with thermal insulation material (including 'Celotex') without a downlight insulation guard required. SOLA Universal is guaranteed for two years and available in fixed, adjustable and IP65 options. Choose the compact can versions for reduced height installations in shallow ceiling voids. Where insulation is not an issue, choose the Universal’s sister product, the SOLAi9, fire rated LED downlight which is dimmable, has a 75,000 hour lamp life and comes with a seven year warranty. For more information telephone 01727 836611 or visit www.auroralighting.com

INVESTING IN SOUND DESIGN

Lyndon Design has unveiled ambitious plans for its future growth as it celebrates 30 years of design and manufacture. This latest development follows extensive capital investment and a major restructuring of the sales and management team that is now part of The Boss Design Group. With 30 year’s design and manufacturing experience, Lyndon Design is now poised to expand its offering into the hospitality, leisure, retail, and corporate sectors. Several new collections were unveiled in the prestigious 8,000sq ft Boss Design showroom at Clerkenwell Design Week. Lyndon’s programme of product and marketing activity will also include a new and inspiring design brochure, a dedicated website, participation at key exhibitions and a series of regional roadshows. A marketing and PR campaign is also being launched. Featured at the Clerkenwell Design Week showroom is the company’s first venture into occasional furniture and coffee tables that have been designed by the award- winning furniture designer, Mark Gabbertas, together with new upholstered seating and additions to its popular sofa collections. The new Triad and Metro table collections provide a perfect compliment to Lyndon’s expansive ranges of upholstered seating and sofas that are widely specified throughout the hospitality and leisure sectors. Oozing appeal, the Triad occasional table collection features a bold yet elegant three splayed-leg design arrangement that cleverly unites a circular table-top with square edge detail. Each of the three tables incorporate an unusual ‘dish-effect’ courtesy of a 7mm bull-nose recess designed to ensure that items stay on the top surface – a practical and elegant design detail perfect for commercial applications. Available in three heights, Triad comes in Black American Walnut and European Oak and for an exciting alternative finish, the top may be specified in co- ordinating solid timber or 22mm textured white lacquer. The Metro collection of three different sized occasional tables takes its inspiration from several existing ranges that are modular in design to form ‘cube’ arrangements giving a wide range of layout options with striking design appeal. Directly complementing several of Lyndon’s seating collections, this new range is also available in popular finishes, Black American Walnut and European Oak. Metro pieces all come in an impressive show-wood finish that is complemented by a glass top in a range of colourways. For further information contact 01242 584897 or visit www.lyndon.co.uk
