OFFICE DESIGNS

WORKING VACAY ENVIRONMENT

Hotelplan UK, is moving into new premises in Godalming in Surrey this summer, and has hired Grey Interiors to manage the relocation and to design, build, and fit the new office for its 130 staff. The new 20,000 sq feet office spans three floors and includes a mixed use of open and closed working environments, with collaboration spaces for formal and informal meetings. A training kitchen for the company’s overseas ski chalet staff is designed to emulate a chalet through a wall-print giving trainees a sense of the environment in which they will be working. The training and interview rooms are packed with bright corporate colours and high impact visuals to reflect the dynamic culture and products of the business. The breakout areas meanwhile offer a less corporate feel, with snowflakes engraved onto coffee tables and vibrant digital imagery to bring the office environment alive. The project will see Grey Interiors develop the design into phased construction plans, and then build it to a structured programme. A furniture package was selected to reflect the new way of working, including contemporary bench desks, ergonomic seating and fun breakout furniture. Construction will take 11 weeks, furniture installation two weeks and the physical relocation one further week. For more information visit www.greyinteriors.com
