Dumbstruck we stood back and marvelled at the majesty of this 54-feet structure. Dragging some chairs inside we gingerly sat down, glass- es in hand and drank in the wine and atmosphere.
It was bright, airy and balmy with the intoxicating scent of fertile earth. It seemed strangely still and absolutely colossal. An echoing cavern, quivering with emptiness and gleaming menacingly.
Suddenly, all eyes were on me. Would I become Kilmel- ford’s answer to Charlie Dim- mock or the laughing stock of my family and friends?
