1. Give us an elevator pitch for your company

De Bouverie is an online fine jewellery Boutique that promotes independent designers. The site helps emerging gold and silversmiths build a presence online and compete with the larger corporate companies and marketplaces.

2. How did your entrepreneurial journey begin?

I have always been interested in starting my own business, having launched small companies at school and university, joining Young Entrepreneurs and even running the tuck shop. I then worked in the city to gain experience in the business world. The moment of truth came when I was put on Gardening Leave. It gave me the time, space and financial security to pursue my idea.

3. What has been your biggest achievement so far? In many ways my greatest achievement to date is actually launching. The fear of leaving your job and security to pursue a dream is quite overwhelming. The only other moment of truth as it were was when I saw a girl wearing my design on a bus… I had to get off I was so over excited.

4. Where do you see De Bouverie in 5 years?

Having only recently launched we hope to build De Bouverie into an established brand that is the place to go to for independent designer jewellery and high quality unique work. We also intend to open a shop in London.
