with small clients, larger companies found her and one of her first clients was Heinz. Jane quickly realised that she could bring a fresh perspective to larger food businesses, and that her experience of working with a number of businesses across the industry gave her the insight and market knowledge they needed.

Any entrepreneur looking to make moves in the food industry should consider this - there is never a good time and don’t be afraid to ask for help

started on the path she did not know her current mix of work even existed. She acknowledges that many people more qualified than her in individual areas and believes it has been her mix of expertise, in particular her NPD and marketing experience that have stood her in such good stead. In all of this, Jane has remained incredibly socially aware and has shown a keen interest in what people are doing around her. Jane has always had interns, work placements and helps people find work in the industry. Jane is also an active supporter of the food charity, Fareshare.

In terms of Jane’s achievements, it is clear that her eyes have not been bigger than her belly. It shows many of us that we can dream big, remain true to ourselves and build strong, sustainable relationships whilst achieving entrepreneurial success.
