A reign. The main celebrations centre around Saturday, June 2 – Tues-

day, June 5, with Monday, June 4, a bank holiday. That weekend and on the Monday there will be celebratory

events and parties galore. Already county, district, parish and town councils, and organisa- tions have begun planning their programmes for the big occasion. Those intending to organise street parties have to apply to Devon County Council for a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order to close a minor road – there is no charge. To close a major road the standard events procedure has to be fol-

lowed, and if you are unsure whether your road is major or minor, contact the county’s neighbourhood team on 08451 551 004 or email: csc.roads@devon.gov.uk. ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE IN BY FRIDAY, APRIL 20

Application forms and more information are available at:

www.devon.gov.uk/index/transportroads/roads/road_licences/temptr o/ttrostreetparty.htm.

The completed forms can be sent to: Devon County Council,

Highway Management, PO Box 494, Newton Abbot, TQ12 9GL or email: roadclosures@devon.gov.uk.
