ABBOT S THE OUT FOR N’S OND EE
Jubilee Window Competition
No need to enter as entry is automatic! Shops and businesses will be planning their patriotic displays as we have a great tradition of window dressing in Newton Abbot. There will be a special Jubilee Trophy for the Best Dressed Window and a goody bag and a ‘purse of sovereigns’ will also be awarded to the winner and runner- up. Judging will take place on Monday, May 28, and winners are hoped to be featured in the local newspapers.
Jubilee Best Dressed Bar
No need to enter as entry is automatic! Newton Abbot is famous for its fantastic town centre pubs and there will be a Jubilee Trophy for the Best Dressed Bar. A team of judges will be visiting all the pubs over the bank holiday period (a tough job – but someone has to do it!) and the best dressed bar will receive a trophy and prizes and hopefully will feature in the local newspapers.
Jubilee June – local singers and musicians are invited to perform in the town centre on Saturdays throughout June. To book – contact town development manager Sally Henley on 07595 893151.
