OF XIYADIE The Center Long Beach and alternative fine art gallery, Flazh!Alley Art


Studio, San Pedro, in partnership with the Beijing LGBT Center, will be presenting the U.S. premiere of the paper cutting masterpieces of Beijing artist Xiyadie (pronounced Zhee-yá-dee), from Sunday, April 29 through Saturday, July 14. The exhibition “Metamorphosis of a Butterfly: A Kalei- doscopic Vision of Life by a Gay Chinese Artist,” will be held at Flazh!Alley Art Studio, located at 1113 South Pacific Avenue, Suite B in San Pedro. It includes more than 50 works celebrating same-sex love along with oth- ers illustrating the discrimination and social stigma experienced by the LGBTQ community in China. ORANGE COUNTY TASTEFEST “Oh food, magical, food, wonderful, food, marvelous, food, fabulous,

SHORELINE FRONTRUNNERS LONG BEACH PRIDE RUN Runnin’, Runnin’, Runnin’ keep those LGBTs runnin’… It’s that time of year again, Long Beach


Pride is here along with all its parades, dances, sunshine (hopefully) and rainbows. Register to run yourself, or come support the participating runners on Saturday, May 19 in this the 20th annual Shoreline Frontrunners Pride Walk/Run. The 5K/10K run and 5K walk follows the pictur- esque Shoreline Bike Path in Long Beach and begins in the Junipero Beach parking lot, located at Junipero Avenue and Ocean Boulevard. The entry fee is $25 through May 12, $30 thereafter and includes a t-shirt (while supplies last). All funds raised by the 2012 Pride Run support Long Beach and Orange County LGBT youth, education, and health organizations.
