J.D. and Tiffany Thompson, Fort Worth, were blessed

The APHA hosted judge applicant exams on April 12


at Diamond W Arena in Alvarado. 13 applicants judged 14 live classes and 9 filmed classes, and testing also included a closed rulebook test and an interview with the Judges Com- mittee. 11 applicants were approved as temporary status judges, and they included Lisa Ligon (TX), Mark Russell (AR), and Terry Thompson (TX).

ients are 2 outstanding Oklahoma Youth QHA members, Kaci Bute and Hailey Cox. Kaci hails from Pawhuska and will attend Oklahoma State University at Stillwater, while Hailey is from Purcell and will attend Southwest Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, OK.


Condolences Philip Layne, age 21, died suddenly on March 22 at his


mother’s home in Weatherford. He was a student at Weath- erford College and a member of NCHA and Horsemen for Christ. His NCHA earnings exceeded $320,000. His par- ents, Susan Layne and Steven Layne, survive him.
