TRAINER SPOTLIGHT

that. Things have a way of working themselves out, and without Robert even looking for this opportunity it came along. He is strong in his opinion that it will NOT get in the way of what his family needs and wants to do. That is prob- ably the best way for anyone to really understand who he is, a man of unimaginable strengths who will not waver from what he believes in, nor jeopardize the people he loves.” Surprisingly, the family likes to camp and spend time in the wilderness. “Robert followed Payton around during many years with Indian Guides and now we all just take off and go camping when we can. Robert and I both LOVE not be- ing near our cell phones at times and we plan those trips so there is no reason to have to have them on. Watching Robert build tents and start fires is really quite entertaining and fun for all of us, he has a fascinating sense of humor about it.” While Robert’s time requirements now shift, Hillary is ex-

cited about going with him when she can. “When we travel it is usually on some official business now and I am just his wife,” she laughingly says. “And that is about the way people introduce me..as Robert’s wife, and most often without any other name. While he is working I get to go off and do one of the things I truly enjoy… walk the city or town or vil- lage we are in. I love knowing the culture of whatever place we are, even in the states. The shops, art galleries, govern- ment buildings, statues in the park..they are all different and I can soak in more just walking and exploring. I never get bored!!” Some things people will find fascinating about this little

sprit of a lady….she LOVES to endlessly shop for shoes. Any time there is a shoe store near she will check out every rack and every counter and stack then into her cart…..and then she doesn’t buy them, she puts them back. “That way I get to have so much fun shopping as much as I want to but I don’t have to explain more shoes to Robert, he clearly thinks I have enough. The shopping is the sport there, not the buying!!” She is an early riser and says it’s beyond her to sleep in,

which works because Robert is the same way. She likes soft rock and some country music, Pellegrino with ginger in it to drink and nuts to snack on. She is extremely close to her three sisters, Kim, Stacy and McCall as well as her dad, Jay. Family is the driving force for Hillary and it suits her well. As the sands of time shift and change, certainly the family pressures are going to shift and change with this new posi- tion for Robert. But never fear, if anyone can balance the enormous amount of balls in the air, it will be Robert…. and Hillary right behind him. They have their priorities in order, continue to realign how to make it all work, plan plan plan, restructure time requirements….but never ever waver- ing from the most important thing in the world to them, family and friends!!!!
