HAVE YOUR SAY

Readers’ letters

A bygone age

A neighbour of mine does house clearances and knows I cruise a lot. I have been on P&O Cruises’ Oceana, Artemis and Ventura. She said she had something

that I may be interested in. Well I was very interested indeed and bought it from her straight away. I thought that your readers might like to see it. It is a “Gentleman’s Wardrobe” and it is fantastic!

Inside were a pair of black

socks, a pair of black patent leather dress shoes and a black bow tie. The labels, well what is left, show a different age. Oh how I wish I could have met the person whose luggage it was.

My wife and I have got a half-world cruise

already booked in Jan/Feb 2013 and I got quite excited when I found out we sail from Southampton. I planned to use the “wardrobe” for the cruise. However, I had my hopes dashed as I realised we are fl ying back from Sydney and the wardrobe alone would take up all of my baggage weight.

Cruise convert

My husband and I were umming and ahhing where to go on holiday when a friend of mine suggested a cruise. I’m 42 with two young kids (four and six) and a cruise is not something I would have thought of. Well I’m very glad I did! We went on a cruise with Royal Caribbean in the Med and had a fantastic time – my daughters particulalrly enjoyed themselves and even made a few friends. I picked up a copy of Cruise

International as soon as we got back

so I could write to you to tell you about our holiday but also to get some inspiration for our next cruise!
