Eagle Eye Solutions to Offer Aircraft Composites Seminar for Accident Investigators
Eagle Eye Solutions, LLC is offering a oneday seminar enti tled “Introduction to Composite Materials for Aircraft Accident Investigators”, this program taught by Dr. Joe Rakow pro vides an introduction to compos ite materials for aircraft accident investigators and safety profes sionals. The seminar will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012. The training will take place at the DoubleTree (by Hilton), at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, 2826 Terminal Drive, Hebron, KY 41048
The course will introduce stu dents to the very basics of com posites: composition, proper ties, manufacturing methods, and applications – relating each of these topics to accidents, fail ures, and the investigation process. By studying these basic topics, students will be equipped with knowledge that will help them analyze failed composites and investigate air craft accidents.
Illustrative case studies involving composite failures from a wide range of industries will be used throughout the course. For some of the case studies involving small compo nents, students will have a chance to examine physical hardware. Students will leave this class with a fundamental understanding of composite materials and their failure modes.
