An evening stroll
St Giles Hospice’s biggest single fundraising event is back for 2012 – the sensational Solstice Walk.
The night-time women-only walk consists of two 4.5 mile-laps of a course through the streets of Lichfield and takes place on Saturday 23rd June.
Entry is £15 per walker and places are strictly limited!
Preparations are also underway for a women’s Starlight Walk on the evening of Saturday 22nd September in Aldridge.
3, 2, 1, Go! Fancy a brew?
We have a series of runs throughout the year taking place in 3 towns (Burton upon Trent, Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield), 2 cities (Lichfield and Birmingham) – and all for 1 great cause!
Whether you are new to running or looking for the ultimate challenge, you can choose from a 5km run up to a half marathon, on the flat, through woodland or over multi-terrain.
Are you hot to trot?
Slip off your shoes and socks and walk barefoot over a scorching trail of burning wood embers! The St Giles Hospice Firewalk takes place at Lichfield Hockey Club on Sunday 29th April. There’s a £25 entry fee, plus £125 minimum sponsorship.

Celebrate Lives Lived is a series of poignant events held in May to encourage people to remember loved ones they have lost, in a very special way.
The Starflower Garden allows you to personalise a wooden starflower peg which will be planted in the grounds of the hospice in Whittington, to form part of an amazing garden of remembrance for the whole of May.
Also part of the event is the St Giles Family Walk, a delightful four-mile stroll through Kingsbury Water Park, Sutton Coldfield. Taking place on Saturday 12th May, this is a great opportunity to enjoy beautiful surroundings while raising money for St Giles. Entry is £10 for adults and £2.50 for children aged 14 and under.
