WHAT’S NEW BOSCARO AND EAGLE WEST CRANES INTRODUCE INNOVATIVE CONCRETE BUCKET
New from Boscaro and Eagle West Cranes & Equipment is a multi-function 5 in 1 concrete bucket which allows users the fl exibility of owning one bucket for several applications. “Eagle West’s crane service company has often used this type of product for projects its own cranes were used on. We saw the opportunity to engineer a new, more user friendly concept in concrete buckets,” said Gerry Wiebe, Vice President Sales & Business Development for Eagle West Cranes & Equipment. The central discharge concrete bucket features
a counter-sprung box gate, which simplifi es its use, especially when fi lling column forms. The discharge slide can be set for in- or out-of-service without removing it. However, it can be removed if necessary, by pulling two bolts. Other features make one bucket useful for a number
WHAT’S NEW ELITE SALES INC. ACQUIRES NEW 30-TON REELING MACHINE FOR SPOOLING CUSTOM WIRE ROPE ORDERS
Elite Sales Inc. (ESI) has recently acquired a 30-ton reeling machine for custom wire rope in order to spool wire rope more effi ciently. Currently, spoolers and reeling machines are replacing the outdated ways of coiling wire rope. Traditionally, the most diffi cult part of properly spooling wire rope has been creating the correct amount of back tension in order to properly spool wire rope. In the past, back tension was cre-
ated by passing the wire rope through multiple sheaves which are tightened by bolts in order to create the tension. Even worse, one of the oldest ways to coil wire rope required the rope to be
placed between two large tires while being spooled. Although this method is still used by other businesses, the technique is defi nitely outdated and doesn’t cause the proper amount of back tension needed to properly coil wire rope without causing damage to the rope itself.
ESI’s new 30-ton reeling machine manufactured by
Cumberland Sales Company of Nashville, TN, provides the perfect amount of back tension needed for proper wire rope spooling. Even coiling wire rope with winches could lead to uneven coiling and a weak foundation of layers which in turn can (and often does) result in damaged cables and wire rope. With ESI’s new 30-ton reeling machine, damaging
wire rope and cables during the spooling process is a thing of the past. “Any new technology that we can invest in to provide our customers with a better product is, and always will be, ESI’s top priority” said, Keith Benhayon, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Elite Sales Inc. “The results that all of our state-of-the-art equipment provide speaks for it self.” For more information or to contact Elite Sales Inc., please visit their website:

of applications. For example, the bottom platform converts the box gate into a six-inch central discharge bucket, excellent for use in applying roofi ng gravel and other dry feed products. The variable length rubber hose converts the standard bucket into a precision placement system, such as for fi lling tight forms or columns. The bottom platform also allows the bucket to be used by a forklift. When not in use, the solid central bridle can be removed to allow the buckets to be stacked for storage. Eagle West is actively seeking dealers and sales
agents for the Boscaro product line. One such company is Certifi ed Boom Repair Service Inc., Tampa, Fla., which distributes Boscaro crane accessories in Florida. “We felt it was a natural extension of our already existing service and repair business to be able to off er our customers material handling accessories,” said Mike Smith, President. The full Boscaro product line includes pallet forks, self-dumping bins, concrete buckets, two and four person man baskets, clamshell buckets, precast handling equipment, and storage solutions.
