WHAT’S NEW CROSBY MCKISSICK’S® NEW PATENT PENDING TUBING GRAB McKissick’s® Patent Pending Tubing Grab is designed to provide a quick, easy and
effi cient attachment for the lifting of tubing to and from the rig fl oor in “well servicing” applications. Specifi cally, the McKissick® Tubing Grab engages the tubing adjacent to the fl ared end allowing the tubing to be moved from storage to the rig fl oor where the elevators can then be utilized to upright the tubing vertically. With a 500 lbs. Working Load Limit, the McKissick® Tubing Grab will work with 2 3/8” or 2 7/8” tubing. The McKissick® Tubing Grab is easy to engage or disengage from the tubing.
Pulling of the trigger provides easy insertion or removal of the tubing and releasing the trigger “locks” the tubing grab in the closed position for maintaining load control. Individually proof tested to 125% Working Load Limit, the McKissick® Tubing Grab is fi tted with a 3/8” G-2130 Crosby® Shackle for attachment to the air tugger line. A secondary lifting eye is provided for the attachment of a tag line. All sizes are RFID equipped. To fi nd out more about the McKissick® Tubing Grab, contact The Crosby Group® at (800) 797-4611 or visit

WHAT’S NEW TALURIT AB
LAUNCHES A NEW REVOLUTIONARY FOLD BACK FERRULE
Talurit AB recently developed a new type of fold back ferrule, the patent pending T-LOCTM steel reinforcement. The ferrule is unique on the market today and has received a lot of interest from customers all over the world. “We pride ourselves on constantly improving and adding to our large range of ferrules and fi ttings. By combining more than 60 years of practical experience with the latest technol- ogy, our engineers can quickly provide the market with new innovations,” says Thommy Andersson, CEO of Talurit AB. The T-LOCTM off ers effi ciency, as well as safety when using the more and more common wire ropes of grade 2160. Made from carbon steel, the T-LOCTM ferrule reinforces the standard aluminum T-ferrule termination. When using a high tensile wire rope of grade 2160 together with a heavy-duty thimble, the T-LOCTM prevents the aluminum ferrule from splitting. T-LOC TM is swaged together with the aluminum ferrule. Greater strength is achieved with the same time and eff ort.
T-LOC before and after swaging. Patent Application no. PCT/SE2010/000142 and protected worldwide.
The T-LOCTM system is easy and safe to use, tested
with rotation resistant wire ropes in class 35(W) x 7 and has been validated according to EN 13411-3. The tested constructions are 34(W) x K7-WSC, fi ll factor: 0,74-0,75. T-LOCTM is compatible with your standard die sets for T-ferrule swaging. Andersson goes on to say, “We are pleased with the
attention the T-LOCTM ferrule has received so far, and we look forward to providing this new solution to customers worldwide.” For more information on T-LOC contact Talurit’s North

are made by Infochip; a global leader in RFID based safety solutions. Since 2002 Infochip has supported a com- prehensive network for manufacturers, service teams and customers to better identify and track industrial assets. Utilizing mobile computing, RFID and Internet based reporting, the eff ort to identify and inspect assets is reduced by up to 60%. InfoChip improves accuracy, accountability and drives safety best practices throughout the asset’s lifecycle. For over 80 years, the production of high tensile shackles has been Van Beest’s core business. Mr. Dirk van Beest founded the company in 1922, initially as a supplier of iron works to the dredging industry. From the very beginning, the company has been forging shackles. Its ironwork expertise gave the Van Beest shackles an edge over the competition and now with the addition of the RFID tag, Van Beest continues to make their products stronger and better for their customers.
