Could you give us a brief outline of your company? Vouchers go Viral gives retailers one more reason to provide better vouchers. To use a voucher on our site, the user must first click on one of the ‘share’ buttons. This means that every time someone uses a voucher, all of their friends on social networks know about it. This may lead to them deciding to use the voucher too. This is a really easy way for retailers to get more social media coverage and it gives them more reason to provide our users with the best vouchers.
What would describe as your biggest achievement so far?
Pushing for the big retailers to talk to us. Getting important people to hear you out is a challenge for any start-up. You really have to persist and be creative. People are so busy that you could literally call to offer them free money and they wouldn’t listen to you. I pushed through the rejections and kept adapting my strategy until people started listening.
Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years? In 3 years, Vouchers go Viral will have made an impact on the voucher industry. It’s not something I want to make a quick buck out off so I want to stay in the company for a while. I’m also spending some of my time on other online projects. In the next 3 years I will definitely be doing something significant online.

Can you give us an idea of your business profile and the service you provide?
CrowdControlHQ is a software as a service product myself and my business partner James Leavesley started 2 years ago. We provide large brands with reputation and risk management software for social media. Our software allows: - Brands to lock down social media accounts - Monitor brand mentions - Moderate content - Share best practice and crisis procedures - Review the social media audit trail - Measure effectiveness of campaigns - Be alerted to hot topics of their interest.
Whats were you doing before you embarked on this entrepreneurial journey & describe where and when you got the idea for your business?
At the age of 15 I started a clubbing social network which grew to just under half a million users. This enabled me to get a taste of success and understand the sort of determination it takes to get a product off the ground. It also cemented the fact I loved creating products and gave me a very early insight into social media as we know it today.
What would describe as your biggest achievement so far?
It was standing back at our Christmas party this year and looking around the room at our team. We had grown so much last year I hadn’t had the time to stop and appreciate the dynamic group of people who work and breathe our product. It was a great feeling to know that it had all blossomed from an idea myself and business partner had 2 years ago.
