WHO’S MOVING UP & WHO’S MOVING ON
YORKSHIRE BANK 1.) Paul Reeves has been appointed managing partner at Yorkshire Bank’s Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in Temple Row, Birmingham. He takes over from Stephen
Cronin who is now managing partner at the bank’s FSC at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Paul’s career with Yorkshire Bank started at the age of 16 as an office junior in Oldham. The 47-year-old was managing partner in Cheshire and Stafford between 2006 and 2010 and since then he has led the teams in Coventry and Northampton, along with Stafford, which Paul continues to be responsible for.
GATELEY National law firm, Gateley has appointed a new non executive director to its English management board. 2.) Mike Seabrook has joined the firm to provide strategic guidance as the firm enters a new phase in its development and looks to build on its entry into the list of the UK's top 50 national law firms. Mike recently retired from
Eversheds where he was a corporate partner for more than 20 years and a board member for 13 of those. During his time with Eversheds, the firm expanded from one office based in Birmingham to an international practice with 45 offices and turnover of £355 million. Gateley's senior partner, Michael
Ward said: “Mike has an excellent track record and is well regarded within the market, we are looking forward to working with him and I'm sure we will benefit from the extensive experience he will bring in this advisory role."
FORRESTERS 3.) Emma Johnson, 4.) Christopher Bond and 5.) Charlotte Dale have all been made senior associates at Forresters, a Birmingham- based firm of intellectual property specialists. Emma has been with Forresters
for six years, working in the areas of patents and designs. She deals with a broad range of technologies and works both in the UK and overseas. Christopher, who graduated in
chemistry from Oxford University in 2005, works in the prosecution and

drafting of patents in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals and biotech. Having gained an MSc in the management of intellectual property, Charlotte, has been part of the Forresters team for five years. She has specialised in all aspects of patent law, and is involved in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical services.
BIRMINGHAM
HIPPODROME Birmingham Hippodrome has added to its corporate cast with the appointment of two new non-executive directors. 6.) Michael Laverty, chief
executive of Advantage West Midlands, and Sara Fowler, senior partner at Ernst & Young, took up their roles at the Annual General Meeting. The AGM also confirmed that
two new members of the Development Trust Board are to be appointed. They are leading businessmen Mark Hales, formally of Claimar and now with a wide range of business interests including Oxygen Accelerator, and Martin Guest, managing director of CBRE in Birmingham. The Development Trust is responsible for fundraising. The theatre has also said farewell
to its deputy chairman Steve Wellings after nearly 10 years’ service with the Hippodrome.

RECRUITMENT Bell Cornwall Recruitment has welcomed Birmingham-born 7.) Katie Hale as manager of its newly opened Lichfield branch, following the company’s expansion from Birmingham. The firm, which was set up in
2007 by Charlotte Bell and Jeremy Cornwall, offers services to clients and candidates throughout the West Midlands and Staffordshire. Charlotte and Jeremy first
worked with Katie in 1999, where she began her career in the recruitment industry. Following this, Katie has worked for various agencies and specialised in recruitment across various sectors including office support, IT, marketing, public relations, graphic design and digital recruitment.
