TaviJive are in their 7th year of running Jive Courses at Tavistock Town Hall and so, if you’ve always wanted to learn to dance jive to Rock ‘n’ Roll music then here is your opportunity. On Thursday 9th February at 7:30pm, TaviJive instructors Malcolm & Heather White will host a FREE taster session at Tavistock Town Hall to introduce their next course for Beginners/Refreshers which starts the following Thursday 16th and runs for 8 consecutive Thursdays. You can attend the Taster with no obligation to join the rest of the course. But Malcolm is confident that you will find 8
this a fun way of burning off those extra Christmas calories and learn a dance style that will open the door to a whole new social network of Rock ‘n’ Roll events throughout the South West and the rest of the country.
The course of 8 lessons costs £40. Each session at the Town Hall lasts for 2 hours from 7.30 to 9.30pm. Places will be restricted to 50, so if you are sure you want to take advantage of this opportunity then ring Tavistock Town Hall on 01822 617232 or TaviJive on 01822 615894 to reserve
how to jive, or want the chance to get in some extra practice, or even just like the music from the era, then come along to Tavistock Town Hall on Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30pm for our regular Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance Nights. These sessions cost just £3 on the door and present a great chance to dance to ‘50s style rock ‘n’ roll, have fun, keep fit and meet new people. Again these events are hosted by TaviJive and although there is no formal tuition, Malcolm and Heather and other experienced jivers are on hand to provide advice if required. Sometimes a Monday evening is not available for Rock ‘n’ Roll due to other bookings at the Town Hall.
