ones happy As well as Valentine’s day, February means half term and we’ve got some suggestions to keep the little ones busy which you can be part of as well (without getting bored). On the 11th, as part of the Cultural Olympiad, the Gulbenkian is showing Great Gran’s Great Games, a play about a little boy’s relationship with his Great Grandmother and coming to terms with her deteriorating health (2pm, tickets £9). down to the Herne Bay Museum on the 14th for


their We Love Bagpuss hour to enjoy songs and activities (10.30pm, tickets £3 per child); and then celebrate the fat cat’s birthday on the 18th with The Canterbury Heritage Museum’s Bagpuss’ Birthday Party and discover some of the show’s secrets (1pm, tickets £9 which allows two children to enter for free).


Dover Museum has a


Valentine’s themed Family Day on the 14th, bringing the whole family together to learn some local history, as well as getting down to some creative activities with a heart theme. It’s free to get in and is open from 10am until 4pm, so you can make a whole day of it.

The Hot Rats February 4th at The Gulbenkian Theatre (7.45pm, tickets £10). Half of Supergrass have formed a new band with producer Nigel Godrich. The Railway Swing Band, February 8th at the Tower Theatre, Folkestone (7.30pm, free entry), a mixture of professional and amateur musicians from around the Deal area.


Kings of Swing Orchestra February 10th at The Marlowe Theatre (7.30pm, tickets £18.50). The orchestra celebrates the songs of The Rat Pack.
