Your wedding photographs are one of the most important mementos of your day so it’s imperative that you pick the right photographer for the job. Before you confi rm anything, arrange to meet your photographer in person to make sure you feel entirely comfortable with him or her, and also to view their portfolio. Keep cut-outs of styles and poses from wedding magazines to give your photographer examples of the sort of styles that appeal to you. Ensure that your photographer is a member of a professional body such as the MPA (Master Photographers Association) BIPP (British Institute Professional Photographers) or the Guild

of Wedding Photographers, as this will mean he or she has to adhere to certain standards. Videography is a great way
to capture your big day, as you can watch special moments over and over again. Do make sure you pick a reputable Videographer, though. If your budget allows, hire a photo booth so guests can have informal snap shots taken at your reception as a fun reminder of your special day. Disposable cameras on each guest table at the reception are a fun and thrifty alternative.
Transport
Depending on the weather, you could arrive in style in anything from an open-topped vintage car to a horse and carriage.
Music &
Entertainment When it comes to entertainment options, there are loads – from bands, to soloists to discos, to magicians and cartoonists – to choose from. A string quartet, pianists or a harpist works well as background music when your guests arrive. A band is a great way to get the party started, but book one at least six months to a year ahead. Also make sure you give yourself plenty of time to check out the band when they’re playing live, to make sure you’re happy with their performance standards. If you have a disco, make sure you prepare your playlist well in advance and ask if your DJ is willing to take
requests from your guests. Be prepared to pay a deposit upfront to book a DJ or band. In fi ne weather, outdoor games such as giant Jenga, chess and croquet – are an original way to keep your guests entertained. For a spring wedding, an Easter Egg hunt should keep younger guests amused.
Additional Touches
Your wedding invitations will set the tone of your wedding so opt for quality. Floral designs and spring birds can work well for a wedding at this time of year.
