Quesada Focus Another Resounding Success For Ladies Who Lunch


The Ladies who Lunch December meeting was held at Stan and Ollie’s Restaurant, El Raso on Wednesday 7th December 2011 with a full pre Christmas celebration executed very professionally by Paul and his happy staff.


Entertainment was provided by Tony Kelly and the whole afternoon passed far too quickly!


The amazing sum of 547.36€ was raised; thanks must be extended to everybody who helped to make this event such a success, both members and guests.


Sarah Plant and Susie McCrossan, two of the lead Nurses from Paul Cunningham Nurses, attended the lunch to show the members the fully equipped medical bags which LwL have purchased for all the Lead Nurses. Members were very impressed both by the size and content of the bags.


They were accompanied by Karen Mountfi eld who is a regular volunteer and administrator in the La Marina Offi ce of PCN.


Janine Williams, the founder of LwL presented token thank you gifts to six members who had given her lots of assistance throughout the year.

Lions supporters have the bottle


Supporters of the Torrevieja Costa Lions Club have once again shown their generosity by participating in the various prize draws throughout the area.


There have been Lions Christmas Baskets in the Post Box, Doña Pepa and The Windsor Tavern in San Luis. There have also been gallon bottles of Scotch Whisky to be won in Restaurant Lo Marabu, Claptons Bar, Quesada Fish and Chips, Hoggies Bar Restaurant and The Olive Grove. The Lions wish to thank everyone who contributed and helped raise over 1,500.00 euros for the Lions disabled children’s charities throughout the month of December.
