‘The Foundation plays a vital role in the Bath community’
The evening, held at Bath Rugby Club, raised £4,632 for the Bath Rugby Foundation, an independent charity that helps enhance the lives of young people through sport. The Foundation plays a vital role in the Bath community, working with disabled children, children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those in need of guidance as they experience the difficulties of young adulthood. In 2010, it helped 23,000 children in the Bath area. Geometry PR MD Linda Donaldson said: “I am really proud of how the company has grown since it was first started in 1991. I believe our success is the culmination of passion and a commitment to deliver results for the businesses we represent.
“For several years we have adopted the Bath Rugby Foundation as our corporate charity and spend time each year raising funds. While the Foundation enjoys a clear association with Bath Rugby it is an independent charity and relies solely on grants, donations, and the goodwill of the Bath community to deliver its projects.”
Bath Chamber gets the mix right
Bath Chamber of Commerce members were out in force to enjoy two recent mixer events. The first was held at Bath City Football Club, where renowned film director Ken Loach spoke passionately about his support for the club and encouraged more businesses to get involved in sponsorship. The recently refurbished Combe Grove Manor Hotel was the star of the second event. Members not only had a chance to mix, but also to enjoy top quality food and tour of some of the four-star hotel’s facilities.
