Quality solar panel cleaning
Based in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham,Roger Needle Ltd (Quality Window Cleaning Services) has been trading for 17 years; and for the first 13 years he used the traditional window cleaning method using ladders. Four years ago he invested in a cold water reach and wash system and then by chance after cleaning a conservatory roof using a customer’s warm water tap in the garden, he realised just how much more effective warm water is for cleaning. Therefore, he has since equipped all four vans with double boilers, which means every member of their team has its own supply of warm water.
With the popularity of solar panels becoming more evident, not many people actually give it a second thought that they need to be cleaned. But solar panels need regular cleaning either on an annual basis or more frequently due to dirt in the atmosphere. This dirt adds a film of grime on the outside of the solar panels preventing the panels from receiving the maximum amount of sunlight they can take in, subsequently reducing their overall performance and efficiency, which has a knock-on effect in reducing the annual amount of profit they return to the customer.
The NHS have asked that all doctors’ surgeries become more energy efficient, and that they have solar panels fitted. Roger has been asked to become their appointed solar panel cleaner for the Midlands and as a result of their research it was found that solar panels should be cleaned at least once a year, otherwise they could lose 25% efficiency per annum through dirt build-up .
Roger has invested heavily in the latest cleaning technology, which is ideal for cleaning solar panels. This cleaning technology comprises of a pure warm water system, and with their poles having a reach of 70ft, they have the perfect cleaning system for solar panels.
The pure warm water is passed through six different filters which eliminates all the fluoride, calcium, chlorine and minerals that are present in the water, so this means
it cannot leave any cleaning residue on the panels to cause more atmospheric material to stick faster, as would be the case if the panels are cleaned using chemicals. The warm water will also clean any green algae away restoring the solar panel back to its original performance.
Specialist in professional, domestic and commercial window cleaning services and with all four vans now equipped with this latest cleaning technology means Roger can offer an even more efficient service.
Since investing in this equipment he has increased his team to nine full-time staff, who are all uniformed and trained to ensure they offer a high quality service, and the business continues to grow day-by-day.
