new projects in Central Florida: a 617-stall garage for Adventist Health System/Sunbelt Healthcare Corp. in Altamonte Springs; a 330-stall garage for Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee; and an 808-stall garage serving the new Cruise Ter- minal 6 for the Canaveral Port Authority. Additionally, complete design-build services will be provided to Alta Congress for a 587- stall garage project in Del Ray Beach, FL, and to Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for a 1,452-stall expansion to an existing Finfrock garage in Tampa. The Green Parking Council (GPC) recently awarded two


parking structures, designed by Carl Walker, Inc., for being “GPC Demonstrator Sites,” parking facilities whose owners committed to utilizing environmentally-responsible technolo- gies and practices. These parking structures include Colorado State University’s Lake Street Parking Structure in Fort Collins, Colo., and the South Fifth Street Parking Structure in downtown Ann Arbor, Mich. The company also is pleased to announce the completion of the North Parking Deck on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. This attractive brick clad facility contains 1,171 parking spaces, primarily used by residents of the nearby student housing complex. The structural system is cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete with precast cladding. Carl Walker provided project planning, structural pro- gramming, parking consulting, and functional design. The proj- ect architectural team consisted of ADW Architects in collabo- ration with Neighboring Concepts.
