DECEMBER 2011

After its first public ap- pearance in 1844, at the 90th anniversary of the first Ma- sonic meeting, the apron was displayed at the laying of the cornerstone for the Smithso- nian Institution in 1847 and the cornerstone ceremony for the Washington Monument in 1848. Until recently, its last major public appearance was at the 100th anniversary of Washing- ton’s death at Mount Vernon in 1899. For more information about the Lodge and the apron, go to the Lodge’s website at www.lodge91.org.

& Reiki Therapy Peggy and Joe Gentile of Ger- mantown, Md., return to Har- mony Healing Arts for a sound and energy group-healing event Dec. 11, 11am–12:30pm. Using crystal bowls and didgeridoo, the couple will perform two healing blessings —“Coher- ence” and “Renewal”— with sound that touches the univer- sal vibration within all living beings. “Coherence” is an ex- ercise intended to bring about desired changes in the lives of listeners, with affirmations en- trained to the vibrations ema- nating in our hearts and within this living planet. “Renewal” was originally intended to be used for couples healing but has proven useful for all heal- ing requirements. Peggy and Joe are attuned

Karuna Reiki masters in the Usui tradition. Peggy also is experienced in Eden Energy Medicine and Healing Touch. Joe, called by Spirit to play the didgeridoo, an ancient shaman- ic instrument, is one of a very few practitioners worldwide who has successfully accom- plished a fusion of didgeridoo sound and Reiki healing. This workshop is free. Love offerings will be gratefully ac- cepted. Both Coherence and Renewal have been recorded on compact disc and, along with all of Joe’s other CDs, will be offered for sale for $10 each. Following the workshop, Peggy and Joe will be available for private healing sessions: $10

for 15-minutes. The individual sessions will begin at 1 p.m., following a light lunch featur- ing homemade soup, bread, fruit and beverages. There is no charge for the lunch for folks who wish to meet privately with Joe and Peggy, although contributions to Harmony’s “food kitty” will be accepted.
