INDULGENCES outrageous by daisy torres & jessica d’nalga Jessica: It was so nice to see everyone come out to support that great event—let’s
not forget the line up of performers! We can’t forget about the Second Annual Meat- ball Turkey Day Dinner either, hosted by those two fierce bitches Glitz Glam and Disco Dollie with the former and current Mr. Leather San Diego! The event was AMAZING and it benefited Special Delivery and the Senior Services program at the Center. After those back-to-back performances we focused on some other fun events
around town. We had the pleasure of attending Come Fly Away at the Civic Center, a lovely show to the music of Old Mr. Blue Eyes himself Frank Sinatra. The music was great and the dancers were gorgeous. Daisy: Yo Quero. A man who can dance is a man who can do wonderful things in
bed… very flexible or so I’ve been told. Jessica: Ha ha! Don’t you always end up doing most of the work anyway? The perfor-
mance was divine and it reminded me of when I used to dance. We also were lucky enough to see The Great American Trailer Park Musical at the
Lyceum Theatre in Horton Plaza. It was trailer trash at its best and funniest. Daisy: I do love me some redneck stud! Jessica: Oh sis! I’ve been there and done that! Ask to meet their mama and they usu-
ally run for the hills. Thanksgiving rolled around with stuffed turkey and all. We are thankful that we were
able to spend time with friends and family, also we are thankful that we have support and work (very thankful, these dresses and shoes aren’t cheap). Jessica: After cooking all day, I was so hungry by dinner time! I don’t think I should eat
until Christmas. Thanks Jason and Rikki for sharing the holidays with us! Daisy: After all that yummy food I need to run to work every day. Decemberis the month at hand and it is full of lights, glitter and the holiday spirit. So
what’s in store on the social calendar you ask? Lets kick things off Sunday, December 11 at Lips as we join some hot divas for The
Annual So You Think You Can Drag Fundraiser hosted by Disco Dollie and this year’s winner Paige Matthews. The beneficiary this year is the M.A.C. AIDS FUND. The show in- cludes dinner for $25 and VIP Seating is $50. So grab your friends and make reservations. One of our favorite shows during the holidays is the Old Globe’s How the Grinch
Stole Christmasalso running throughSaturday, December 31. Jessica: Oh the Grinch! I have always wished I could be a ho… oops, I mean a Who! This time of year is so full of events it’s hard to recommend just a few, because we feel
bad about leaving anyone out. That is why we recommend you check out page 14 in this issue for community events that are happening and page 65 for all the New Year’s Eve celebrations—don’t forget page 56 for our calendar of events. So with the end of 2011 approaching, we want to wish you Happy Holidays and
DAISY AND JESSICA’S ADVENTURES The holidays are always a magical time for us. We love all the lights and decorations
in the gayborhood and feel like kids window shopping and hoping we have been good little girls so we get a nice “big present” from Santa. Before we tell you what we asked Santa to put in our stockings, lets roll the clock back and talk about some of the events that we enjoyed this past month. We kicked Novemberoffwith back to back events. We love performing, so any invita-
tion to be on stage is always welcome and especially when it’s for a good cause—those always get our fullest commitment. Saturday, November 5 we joined the ladies of the Imperial Court to perform atSurvival 2 at Numbers, organized by Cory Huston. Daisy: It was not only an opportunity to raise money for the annual Scott Carlson
Thanksgiving Dinner at the Center but also to celebrate Lala’s Birthday… Girl I want her dress, oh so pretty.
remember, it’s not how expensive the gift is, it’s the thought that counts. Don’t forget to take a minute out of this crazy time and text a “Hello I miss you” or place a phone call to that favorite aunt to say, “I’ve been thinking of you”—it’s those little things that count. Daisy: So Jessica I just made you an appointment at the STD clinic… because I love
you… haha joke! Jessica: Oh, I forgot to mention the doctor called from your clinic on Rosecrans! She
said it was an emergency… you may want to call that guy from last night and the one before andfrombefore him and so on—you dirty girl! Oh, to all my other sisters and es- pecially my mama, I made ya’ll a recurring appointment for every 3 months… til 2013! As for the New Year all we want to say isWelcome 2012! Do something fun but be
safe… please don’t party ‘til you black out, you don’t want to miss the welcoming of the new year—or wake up in a cell!
SEE YOU IN 2012!
