Whilst it is true the UAE has been impacted by the global economic downturn there remain key vacancies for talented Civil Engineering professionals (especially Rail) looking to further their International experience. Many companies have their regional head offices in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi and often use it as a base for key management staff although you will be expected to travel frequently to other booming Gulf locations such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia. However there are more current opportunities in the region which are now outside of the UAE in locations such as Oman, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain.
Qatar and Saudi Arabia are both defying the global economic downturn and we currently have been retained on a number of key Infrastructure projects (Airports, Rail, Water, Highways, Bridges & Marine) which have recently been awarded. SOUTHERN ASIA
We currently have many Senior level Rail/Maritime vacancies throughout India and a select few vacancies in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Vietnam for key Infrastructure staff (Airports, Rail, Water, Highways, Bridges & Marine). Whilst many companies are hiring locally there are still opportunities for those candidates ideally with previous Asia experience.
