Florida Strawberry Festival Announces 2012 Theme
“Growing Sweet Memories” at the 77th Annual Florida Straw-
berry Festival, March 1-11, 2012. This year the theme was cho- sen to reflect on the many memories that have been made through the years. At the 77th Annual Florida Strawberry Festival, think back to your first concert, that delicious strawberry shortcake or the many laughs you had with friends and family on the mid- way. This year, the Festival will help you make new memories as we are planning an exciting headline entertainment line-up, com- petitive contests, youth events, free on-grounds entertainment, thrilling rides, and of course delicious strawberries; so come out and make new memories with us!
Florida Strawberry Festival Multi-Purpose Facility Progress
The Board of Directors at the Florida Strawberry Festival are
pleased to announce the progress on the construction of the Eve- lyn and Baptista Madonia Multi-Purpose Center which will be used for livestock shows and sales during the annual event. The ground breaking ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Today the building is nearly 70% complete. The building has ap- proximately 33,000 square feet of enclosed air-conditioned space to be used for a variety of events. The Evelyn and Baptista Madonia Multi-Purpose Center is on
schedule to be completed by November 1, 2011. The Festival Board of Directors and Staff are looking forward to hosting a num- ber of annual events in the Multi-Purpose Center that lead up to opening day of the 2012 Florida Strawberry Festival.
