Parks Recreation

The Village of Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation Department works to offer a wide variety of quality programs, safe parks and recreational facilities for the enjoyment of its residents.

The goal is to provide recreation programs and services to each age, ability, culture and interest represented in the community. Programs include instructional programming for all ages, community special events, after-school programming and care in cooperation with School District #74, summer camps and clinics, early childhood programs, fitness and trips.

Thirteen park locations feature playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, an inline hockey rink, walking and bike paths, fishing and picnicking. Channel Runne Park offers paths with numerous sculptures by artists from around the country. The Parks and Recreation Department is located in the Lincolnwood Village Hall at 6900 Lincoln Avenue in Lincolnwood. The Lincolnwood Community Center which houses many of the programs and events is located at the corner of Morse and Lincoln Avenues, next to Village Hall.

The Parks and Recreation Department is always looking for individuals to provide new programming.
