Wilner is software director in the LAN access division of Intel’s’ architecture group. She is also active in Intel’s Latino Network (ILN), which supports the inclu- sion of Hispanic employees into Intel’s business environment by supporting the firm’s goals, mission, objectives, and values.

Intel’s Latino Network is one of 20 employee resource groups (ERGs) that provide a means of support and integra- tion, along with opportunities to partici- pate in company-wide programs such as mentoring, professional development, and community involvement.

ILN has partnered with groups like the Network of Intel African American Em- ployees (NIA), of which Michael Greene is a part, to empower professional growth and leadership advancement of employees in the workplace, and help make school achievement and educa- tional excellence a national priority—all in alignment with company goals. Intel has relationships with SHPE, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, Hispanic Ad- vocacy and Community Empowerment through Research, as well as scholarship- research relationships with the Hispanic College Fund, School Reform Com- mission, and the National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science.

Prior to joining Intel in 1996, Wilner worked for another large technology and consulting multinational, special- izing in software development using technologies such as speech recognition, natural language interfaces and digital video.

Throughout her career at Intel, she has managed teams of engineers and program managers within the OEM communications group, platform secu- rity division, and Intel online services.

Previously, she also served as director of server platform group (SPG) operations, responsible for assisting with manage- ment of the organization and driv- ing strategic initiatives. In her current position, she is responsible for creating software for Ethernet product lines, which span mobile to high-end server and embedded platforms.

“There are two Intel values evident in the culture which have made me stay with the company,” Wilner said. “Employees are focused on getting the job done and delivering results; we care very little about status, titles and recog- nize people for the contributions they make. It’s not where you come from or where you’ve been, but rather what you deliver.
