ngenuity is not necessarily a young or old person’s game exclusively. This group of men and women, who are under or 40 years old have combined their education, growing experience and intellect in ways that increase their respon- sibility and notice by senior management as the very people who will be their replacements. Some are the children of STEM professionals, others the first in their family to attend college. They are military and civilian, all enjoying their rise at public, private and non-profit organizations, also as committed as were their mentors to finding the next genera- tion of Hispanics that will excel in science, technology, engineering and science-oriented fields. They include a wanna-be astronaut working in Boeing’s F-22 Raptor program, a Fluor project engineer job who finds free time for her husband and two-year-old daughter and triathlons, and a rocket-scientist who thought he’d always work in a grocery store.
