It’s even green on the rooftops

Accountants HWB’s expertise in the emerging green economy has been underlined by two significant client wins in the sector.

The architects behind the wildflower roof building at Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park, HPW, and Southampton domestic green roof specialist Io Contracts have both appointed HWB as their business and taxation advisers. The double client win adds to the Hampshire firm’s already extensive client base in the sustainability sector.

West End-based Io Contracts is a specialist in residential living green roof installations with more than 20 years’ experience, while HPW, from Ower near Romsey, has pioneered some of the most sustainable buildings in the country specialising in garden centres, holiday parks and day attractions.

HWB managing director, Geoff Rhodes, said: ”Despite the traumas that have faced the economy during the past few years, businesses in

the sustainability sector have come through not just unscathed but rapidly expanding. Like HPW and Io Contracts, we have developed our expertise in this area which enables us to attract the region’s leading businesses in the industry.

”The sustainability bill is now on everyone’s agenda from commercial and domestic perspectives. HPW and Io Contracts are therefore in a strong position and we are looking forward to working with them.”
