A tasty partnership ...
County food group Hampshire Fare and Hampshire Chamber of Commerce have formalised a strategic partnership to work together for the benefit of more than 2000 businesses they jointly represent across the county.
Key roles for both are the provision of business support and development services, profile-raising, as well as event and networking opportunities for its members. Hampshire Fare specifically focuses on businesses that produce, serve or sell food drink and craft originating from Hampshire, and has around 200 members ranging from farmers and artisan cheese-makers to delicatessens, pubs and hotels.
A 2009 survey by Hampshire Fare illustrated the value of local food and farming to the county’s economy. Findings highlighted that the combined sales revenue of Hampshire Fare’s members was estimated at £188 million per annum.
