AUGUST 2011 Pickin’ In The Panhandle
11
This year’s Pickin’ In The Panhandle music and barbecue festival will be held Septem- ber 10–12 at the Lazy A Camp- ground in Back Creek Valley, near Martinsburg. Pickin’ in the Panhandle cel-

The festival will fea- ture over 20 bands on three stages, the KCBS state barbe- cue championship, a backyard BBQ cook-off, an arts and crafts barn, the popular Kids Korner, and vendors featuring among other things—you got it, bar- becue.
“Pickin’ in the Panhandle
has grown each year and this year we’ve added some new at- tractions that will entice our BBQ and bluegrass audiences,” said Andrea Ball, festival direc- tor. “We’ll be adding a third stage featuring West Virginia bluegrass artists, music work- shops for beginner musicians, and a Tastin’ Tent where our attendees can enjoy samples of the barbecue competition.” The 2011 musical lineup in-
cludes: Marty Stuart, Dixie Bee-Liners, Confederate Rail- road, The Steel Drivers, Trent Tomlinson, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Dale Ann Brad-
