specialists The Music Group (TMC) to help realise the project. Into Lighting, led by Darren Orrow, conceived an architectural and mood lighting scheme for the venue.


Part way into the project, in need of a galvanising force, Shaun Doyle of Shaun Doyle Management was asked to manage the project, as it he had done with LCI’s previous six casinos.


“I was asked to do what I do, which is project management. Pulling everything together,” explained Shaun Doyle.


Shaun faced the challenge of a snowballing budget and what he de- scribed as “an over design situation,” as well as the need to appease two tenants - Gentleman’s Tonic and Salvatore Calabrese. Both had directive input into their respective spaces. Perhaps most challenging was the fact that the venue continued to operate through its reinven- tion.


Together with the various parties involved, Shaun managed to bring the project into budget and on course to meet the original timeframe. But then six weeks before the handover date it was decided the lounge area could be made more commercially attuned. So in an 11th hour twist, London West End club consultants Marc Merran and Dan Ferris were brought in, and a new design concept was drawn-up by Shaun.


TMC worked on the sound, lighting and video elements throughout the venue. A range of Bose speakers feature in the different rooms and transitional areas, with power coming from Cloud, Yamaha and MC2 amplifiers. TMC’s Martin Tarpy explained the equipment choices, beginning with why Bose speakers feature so heavily: “The prod- uct lends itself perfectly to that kind of environment.
