September edition already. Kids go back to school - Result !!!!!! More “us” time for the adults. More money in the pocket as the little critters have been bleeding us dry over the holidays. That should give us time to save up for Christmas. Oh.. And the nights are fair drawing in. But we have lots of stuff in this edition to cheer you up. Probably a record number of gags, jokes and anecdotes, lots of quizzes and brain teasers, and lots of informative articles as well. We get lots of emails from our readers and we thought you should see a few. Page 6. We have lots of people to introduce to the Local Herald. Firstly we have a new young columnist called Dan Wood who’s a fanatic on motors. Read his Motor Mouth column on our “Cars and Stuff” page. Welcome to Simon Hodgkinson who joins our sales team for the Pendle area. Simon has loads of experience in the magazine industry. We also welcome Laura Chadwick who joins us full time to help on the accounts and admin side as we continue our expansion. We also welcome back Gary Kay to the Accrington and Oswaldtwistle area. Gary was with us for a while last year and is pleased to be back with us and as he says “ The grass is not always greener.” Our new offices are also filling up nicely and The Town Hall Chambers in Great Harwood are really coming to life with lots more businesses making it a vibrant business centre. Hewyl and Jamie from Rock FM popped in last month as part of their roadshow, what a laugh. See page 20. Enjoy.
