AR Phoenix Track Layout
Members of RV clubs (even in the far south) work together to
create a better layout or scenery. In Valle Del Oro, a lot of time is spent decoring the layout. For special days, the members bring out ‘Route 66’ cars and trucks to make the layout look more realistic. In North Phoenix, there is a private railway club occupying
120 acres of property called Adobe Western Railway (operated by T e Maricopa Live Steamers Railroad Heritage Preservation Society). Each Sunday, you can ride the rails on their club trains and members can run their own trains. At this location, there is an outdoor Garden Railway Exhibit
and an indoor exhibit for HO and Z-scale. We had a lot of fun running our own train down south and
visiting other locations. It makes the winter go quickly. We anxiously await the summer to run our trains back at home. 4
